The Silver Lining to the Loss in MA?
Wed Jan-20-10 10:02 AM

With any luck, House and Senate Democrats will replace Pelosi and Reid post haste. Both are polarizing, ineffective (moreso than Daschle, which I thought was nigh unto impossible), and past their expiration date as "leaders" of those chambers.

Oh, yeah: hi all, and welcome to the 2010 midterms!

: p

Happy New Year and all that, too!

the new republican meme has surfaced for the midterms...

have heard more than one freaking republican say the outcome of the Massachusetts senate race is an indication that the american people are rejecting "chicago style politics" and "the agenda of the leftwing liberal progressives of the democrat party"

"leftwing liberal progressives" - can they get any more redundant? It's only January, 10 months till midterm election - so yeah, the "rabid far-right ultra-conservative talking-headed repubs" will become more redundant

Dems still have to grow some balls and spine - you can't be bi-partisan when the opposition wants to remain the opposition.

If the repubs could shove legislation through during the smirk-boy years with less of a majority in the house and senate - there's no reason the Dems can't do it now. Enough of the 'play nice' bullshit.

WITH the recent decision of the "supremes" regarding corporate personhood - doesn't matter who is running government...

welcome to the United CORPORATION of America...

why does that song about "...owe my soul to company store.." is suddenly my 'earworm'?

another silver lining - LIEBERMAN is no longer needed by Dems

if the dem couldn't pass a bill with Lieberman - they certainly can't pass anything now. take his committee chairs away and let him go sit with the repubs
